Our church planter – For over 30 years, Barry Hendrick has worked with adults, college students, and teens as an evangelist, teacher, pastor, church planter, and mentor. His style is compassionate, but bold; relational but challenging; and he is always trying to facilitate the growth of people by helping them discover their “next steps” to get closer to God.
Barry’s heart for world missions has led him to serve as a teacher and evangelist on short term mission trips to Grenada, Romania, Albania, Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. He has also planted churches in New Orleans, Birmingham, and Denver. For the last few years, he has served as chair of the board of Bread of Life African Ministry (BOLAM) which serves underprivileged children in Uganda. BOLAM serves orphaned and abandoned children in the city of Kabale. Barry also is the founder and President of Ultimate Impact: a ministry which utilizes the model of Jesus to disciple people to maturity and evangelistic fruitfulness.
Living Faith Christian Fellowship started in the living room of Barry & Knoel. Barry and his family lived in the Denver area from 2002-2011, so this was like “coming home” for him. His desire is for this church to become a “church planting” church which will help start other healthy churches all over the region in the next few years and then multiply church plantings both domestically and around the world.
His wife, Knoel, works as a Christian Therapist in her private practice called “Hope Christian Counseling”. She also serves in the Women’s ministry at Living Faith along with many “behind the scenes” ministries. They have been married for 30 years and have three grown daughters.
